'PISKORNICA' REGIONAL WASTE MANAGEMENT CENTER FOR THE NORTH WEST CROATIA

is intended for the benefit of 550.000 residents in 110 munucipalities and cities in 4 counties of North-West Croatia.

We will make sure that with the application of the highest technical and technological achievements in the field of environmental protection dispose of the waste and thus achieve the statutory goals:

reducing the quantities of generated waste
prevention of unsupervised waste management
exploitation of useful waste properties for material and energetic purposes
reducing negative impact of deposited waste onto environment, climate and human health
management of generated waste based on sustainable development principles


In accordance with the negotiated Chapter 27 and the Supplement of Republic Croatia requirement for transitional periods for full implementation of Article 14 (c) of Council Directive 1999/31/EC of 26th April 1999 of waste disposal, December 31st 2018 is defined as a realistic deadline for the establishment of an integrated waste management system that is to build the necessary waste management centers.
